CINCINNATI — Great American Insurance Group and Accurate Background Inc. have formed a strategic partnership to help companies prevent workplace violence, theft and losses. Using the services provided by Accurate Background, Great American now has the ability to offer their clients high quality screening services at competitive prices.
Accurate Background, a full-service background screening company, will be conducting various types of background screening and consultation as part of Great American's crime insurance initiatives designed to benefit Great American's insurance customers. Companies purchasing fidelity/crime insurance from Great American will be able to screen present and future employees and vendors, enabling them to avoid applicants who provide them with false information.
"We are pleased to have created this partnership. We searched for a company who shared our same business philosophies and Accurate Background was that company," said Frank J. Scheckton, senior vice president of the Fidelity/Crime Department at Great American Insurance Group. "Our crime insurance covers many different types of industries, such as banks, governmental agencies, retailers and casinos. We are confident that the work of Accurate Background will help to further protect our clients from crime within their business."
Background screening and crime insurance have been around for some time but in this post-September 11 era, the need is even more profound. A recent survey conducted by Privacy & American Business magazine found that 91 percent of workers approve of background checks for criminal records.
"We are constantly searching for partnerships and products that will help our clients maintain a safe work environment," said Dave Dickerson, president and founder of Accurate Background. "This partnership will help these companies to avoid 'problem' employees and potential losses from theft and violence." |
