Easily made, easily broken. That’s the reality of New Year’s resolutions for many Americans. Easily made, easily broken. That’s the reality of New Year’s resolutions for many Americans.

In an effort to change that, Revolution Health Network (RevolutionHealth.com) has launched “Resolutions 2.0,” a comprehensive online program created to help people make and keep their health-related resolutions through the power of social networking.

There are three core elements of Resolutions 2.0.
  1. Revolution Health GoalsTM are tools to help people set their health goals and garner support from others to meet them. Users can track their progress, ask for encouragement, from community members, and invite their friends to share in their efforts. They can even print a “Goals on the GoTM” booklet to remind them of their pledge.
  2. Revolution Health GroupsTM are led by experts who will provide free, regular support to group members as they seek to meet their health resolutions. Among the experts are pediatrician Dr. Stacy Stryer, weight-loss expert Dr. Jim Hill (for the “lose 50 pounds” group), marriage counselor Mira Kirshenbaum, and physician and author Edward Hallowell.
  3. Revolution Health Tools and TrackersTM features fun and engaging online tools to further refine measurement of progress, to track progress and to help users understand theirhealth issues better.
RevolutionHealth.com has rolled out Resolutions 2.0 because of a firm belief that people are more likely to achieve their health goals if they are working toward them with a group of like-minded people.

“We all make New Year’s resolutions, but going it alone can often make those good intentions a grind,” said Steve Case, chairman and CEO of Revolution Health. “By adding the power of friend-to-friend support along with expert information, RevolutionHealth.com is offering a simple, fun, and free way for people to achieve goals they never have before.”

To jumpstart the program, RevolutionHealth.com is offering the opportunity for five winners and two of their friends to win personal health coaching over the phone for six months. Everyone who sets a goal, joins a RevolutionHealth.com group, and recruits at least two friends to join will automatically be eligible for the chance to win. The sweepstakes starts January 1.
