In fact, Moler, the business office manager of the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., admitted that the tedious tasks of processing claims and checking for patient eligibility took so much time that the system she used often would timeout because it ran so slowly.

In addition, providers can use LIME for other Medicare transactions, such as eligibility and claims remittance. All told, the time and money saved in one year is equivalent to three staff members working full-time, according to IVANS Inc.

LIME can enable a provider with up to 25 users to simultaneously establish a secure connection for processing multiple Medicare transactions simultaneously over the Internet with the necessary Medicare Contractor from their facility.
