The reputation of AQS, Inc., a provider of policy administration systems for commercial property-casualty insurance, is paving the way for clients to implement its products.
The reputation of AQS, Inc., a provider of policy administration systems for commercial property-casualty insurance, is paving the way for clients to implement its products.
A recent example is Capital Insurance Group (CIG) of Monterey, California, which went into production on its AQS/advantageTM system in December. CIG went live with six specialty lines in four states: California, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada. The company plans to expand into Washington and add commercial ISO lines of business as well.
Robert Winn, the vice president of Underwriting and Field Operations for CIG, said that the existing relationship his company had with AQS helped the insurer make its choice for AQS/advantage when it came time to automate its manual and specialty lines.
“We evaluated multiple vendors in looking to upgrade,” Winn acknowledged. “The improvements AQS has made since we first began working with them—and the relationship we have with our AQS account manager—were the deciding factors. The system is great, and AQS has always delivered for us.”
With the increased automation provided by AQS/advantage, CIG can now automate all transactions on their lines of business, scale with the growth in their business, extend quoting and binding functionality and authority to agents and MGAs, and provide streamlined workflows through the Web.
“It’s great that CIG had the confidence in us to select us again as they launched the evolution of their business and market objectives,” said Dave Kerford, CEO of AQS. “The fact that we’ve helped to expand and extend the reach of their distribution channels and improved their speed to market is a meaningful win for both companies.”
