WellPoint, Inc. performed well at the Eleventh Annual Healthcare Internet Conference.
WellPoint, Inc. performed well at the Eleventh Annual Healthcare Internet Conference.
With its Web site Anthem.com leading the way, the health benefits company took home six eHealthcare Leadership Awards for its Web sites.
Anthem.com earned a Gold Award for Best Healthcare Content and two Silver Awards for Best Overall Internet Site and Best eBusiness Site. The Anthem CDHP portal won a Gold Award for Best Care/Disease Management Site. Unicare.com garnered a Silver Award for Best Healthcare Content, and WorkNet, WellPoint’s intranet, won a Silver Award for Best Intranet Site.
“This recognition underscores the company’s leadership role as an innovator in the health care industry and our commitment to empowering customers through technology,” said Chad Pomeroy, vice president of Consumer Innovation for WellPoint.
The eHealthcare Leadership Awards honor the best sites in the health care industry, including health care providers, health plans, health care associations, online health companies, and pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms. Strategic Health Care Communications, the publishers of eHealthcare Strategy & Trends and Strategic Health Care Marketing, sponsors the annual awards program.
From among the nearly 1,100 entries, WellPoint’s Web sites were honored because of the quality of their Web content, interactive features, business integration, ease of navigation, and user experience.
“We strive to provide user-friendly tools and information to our customers, and this recognition demonstrates our ability to do just that,” said Mary Scanlon, senior vice president of WellPoint’s eBusiness and Consumer Technology.
