They aren’t members of the highest-paid profession, but educators in Ohio can save a little bit of their salary thanks to Ohio Casualty. Ohio Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, recently introduced its new personal lines product offering in the Buckeye State, including enhanced rating capabilities made possible by Personal IQ?, the company’s new online tool for quoting and policy issuance.

Through Personal IQ, agents in Ohio can quickly generate competitive quotes on products that are appropriate for customers’ specific risk characteristics. Ohio Casualty’s new comprehensive auto and home insurance products feature many policyholder discounts and lowered deductibles. For example, the insurer is offering an Educator’s Discount (5 percent for homeowner policies, 3 percent for auto policies) to all licensed Ohio teachers and administrators.

Other cost-saving features of the new personal lines products include:
  • Customer Loyalty Discount for long-time policyholders
  • Lowered deductibles for homeowners and auto collision coverage to reward loss-free experience
  • Discount for a combined homeowner and auto package, with further cross-policy discounts for policyholders who have no claims
  • Expanded Ultra Plus endorsement for homeowner policies, which includes ID Theft coverage and 125 percent replacement cost coverage
  • New home buyer, home renovation, and non-smoker discounts
  • First claim forgiveness—up to $10,000 on auto policies.

Matt Warye, Ohio Casualty’s vice president for Personal Lines Underwriting, said this lineup of personal lines products is “the most innovative and competitive” the company has ever introduced to the market.

“With the enhanced rating capabilities and speed of Personal IQ, our agents will more effectively compete with other agency companies, as well as direct writers,” Warye said. “These new offerings give our agents a broader underwriting appetite and the means to better serve our customers.”

Later this year, Ohio Casualty will extend access to its new personal lines products and Personal IQ to its agents in Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
