Customers who aren't shy about putting their money in the stock market will like the new 90/10 Masters Model from the U.S. division of Sun Life Financial Inc.
The company recently rolled out more investment options for its Masters Variable Annuity suite, including a new 90/10 Masters Model for customers seeking investments heavily weighted in stock funds. In addition, Sun Life has added the Franklin Founding Allocation Fund and improved the Build Your Own Portfolio option, designed for customers who want to customize their investment portfolio within any of the four Masters variable annuities.
Sun Life created the 90/10 Masters Model for clients seeking high-equity fund exposure. The model, which complements the company's Ibbotson models, seeks to maximize returns while minimizing risk. This new diversified model brings together five investment managers: First Eagle Funds, Davis Advisors, Fidelity Investments, Franklin Templeton Investments, and PIMCO. The 90/10 model is rebalanced quarterly to maintain existing allocation percentages and is available with all of the optional living benefits that are available with Sun Life Financial Masters variable annuities, including Income ON DemandSM.
Financial advisors will have more investment options to which they can direct their clients. That's because Sun Life added three diversified fund family portfolios: Franklin Templeton VIP Founding Funds Allocation, AllianceBernstein VPS Balanced Wealth Strategy Portfolio, and Van Kampen UIF Equity & Income Portfolio. With these additions, Sun Life boosted its fund family portfolios to nine. Like the 90/10 Master Model, these fund family portfolios are available with all of the Masters variable annuities and all optional living benefits, including Income ON DemandSM.
But the investment choices don't end here. With the improved Build Your Own Portfolio option, advisors who want to customize their clients' portfolios can choose from 56 investment options across 15 leading fund families to help them diversify their clients' assets. This approach includes options from four new fund managers: AllianceBernstein, Goldman Sachs, Lazard, and Wellington Management. Each money manager has been carefully screened for expertise and performance history, and each has a solid reputation in the investment community. |
