iWave Software now stands alone. What used to be Skywire Software's line of iWave Integrator software is now an independent vendor of IT service management (ITSM) integration software. iWave is now positioned to make waves in the expanding run book automation market. Independent analyst reports estimated the ITSM market reached the $15-billion mark last year, and they predict that the market for run book automation will grow to $5 billion by next year.

Patrick Brandt, president and CEO of Skywire Software, said that iWave's 15-year history of providing integration products to customers worldwide has made the company ready to stand on its own.

"As an independent company, iWave Software is well positioned for a new phase of rapid growth beyond ITSM integrations into the dynamic IT process automation market," he said. "Customers will see real benefits from iWave Software's new status as an independent developer of IT integration and automation software."

The new company didn't have to look far for a president. Brent Rhymes, who served as general manager for iWave Integrator, was chosen president & CEO of iWave Software. Rhymes has more than 16 years of experience in senior management, sales, and marketing. He co-founded two successful technology companies, Knoxville-based FileKeeper, Inc., and Houston-based Gapware Solutions Corp. He also held senior executive positions at NetIQ, NEON Systems, and Scalable Software, as well as sales and management positions at Microsoft Corporation, IBM, and Exxon Company USA.

"Brent is an industry veteran who understands the needs of clients," Brandt said. "The depth and breadth of his expertise and experience will help lead iWave Software through the next phase of its growth, to become the leader in ITSM and run book automation."

Global 500 firms and major IT outsourcers use iWave Software to integrate and automate systems used to manage their enterprise computing environments, enabling them to lower their operating costs, reduce response times and improve customer satisfaction.

"Enterprise organizations are looking for ways of sharing information between their internal IT service management silos, as well as electronically exchanging information with third-party IT service providers," Rhymes said. "iWave Software provides the broadest set of proven solutions available on the market, with pre-built IT workflows and integrations that install in minutes and deploys in days. As well, we are a proven solution that is both platform and vendor-independent, meaning large enterprises can deploy iWave Software in any IT environment."
