Some retirees may move at a slower pace, but the retirement industry is only speeding up. To help financial advisors keep up with the pace, Nationwide Financial, based in Columbus, Ohio, has launched a new Web site to provide professionals with tools and resources they can use to help build-or begin-their retirement plan business.

"Our industry moves at an incredibly fast pace, and we're always looking for ways to make it easier for investment professionals to work with us," noted Joe Frustaglio, national sales manager for Nationwide Retirement Plans.

Don't look for gimmicks or games at the new Web site, housed within the main Nationwide online home.  Instead, Frustaglio said, it's full of sales ideas, based on the Pension Protection Act of 2006, that professionals can employ to help them better meet their clients' needs and be more effective in their own business.

In addition, the Web site offers simple product packages, such as the new Retirement Innovator solution, Nationwide's package for small businesses to offer quality retirement plans with fiduciary protection. A white-paper from ERISA consultant Fred Reish about the fiduciary benefits of this solution is also available. Moreover, professionals can access tools to use with their clients to help them meet their fiduciary obligations.

For investment professionals who aren't currently in the retirement plans business, the site explains how Nationwide can support them during every stage of the sales process and offers information to help them get started.
