Zurich Improves Usability of ezumbrella.com

A first-of-its-kind Web site for agents is now even more user-friendly.

Zurich has made changes to its ezumbrella.com online platform for small and mid-sized monoline commercial umbrella policies. When it debuted in 2002, ezumbrella.com was the first to offer retail insurance agents the ability to quote, bind, and issue commercial umbrella policies from their desktops.

Now, thanks to some recent revisions, that process is even faster. From start to finish, agents can issue a policy in less than 15 minutes. New features, such as FAQs and “How to’s,” speed up the user’s learning curve.

“Our ezumbrella.com has proven to be an efficient delivery model for placing monoline umbrella coverage for small to mid-sized accounts,” said Robert Shine, executive vice president of Zurich’s Excess Casualty profit center. “Moreover, ezumbrella.com clearly helps agents build business and enhance client service while reducing their own cost of providing coverage.”

Administered through Preferred Concepts, LLC, ezumbrella.com serves agents with clients in industries such as hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, restaurant, retail, service, and construction. Use of the site does not require initial minimum production, nor are there fees or charges to obtain quotes. Additionally, ezumbrella.com allows registration by retail office rather than by individual producer, further streamlining the process.

All commercial umbrella policies accessed through ezumbrella.com are underwritten by Zurich, using Zurich’s A/B form for coverage.
