AHG’s AllOne Mobile Gives Users 24/7 Access to Health Records through Cell Phones

If consumers can check sports scores on their mobile phones, why can’t they have access to their health records through their phones too?

The AllOne Health GroupSM (AHG) believes consumers should have that at-their-fingertips access, so it has created the AllOne MobileSM application, which makes personal health records (PHR) available through cell phones—without needing an Internet connection.

AllOne Mobile saves PHRs in a secure environment and links to users’ mobile phones, giving them organized, easy-to-use, 24/7 access. Users can manage and share their PHRs with physicians, hospitals, clinics, and emergency personnel helping to improve medical outcomes.

“AllOne Mobile provides users immediate access to information buried in paper folders and computer files,” said William C. Reed, president and CEO of AHG. “It’s a groundbreaking solution that provides consumers access to critical health and insurance information at the click of a button and allows them to share it securely on their terms anywhere, anytime.”

In April, AllOne Mobile launched to the Hospital Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania (HSA) and its health plans. HSA is the first health plan in the nation to adopt this technology.

Dr. Drew Palin, vice president of product development at HSA, said AllOne Mobile is part of the next generation of health care.

“If we can give our members a better way to share their medical history, test results and medications, we believe we can significantly reduce time to treatment and medical errors,” Palin said.

AllOne Mobile can help consumers and their families by allowing them to:

  • View and send insurance coverage information.
  • Track prescription drugs.
  • Catalog allergies or fax a child’s allergy records to the school nurse.
  • Send health information, including a family health history, to a physician.
  • Access health tips to better manage chronic conditions.
AllOne Mobile is also ideal for out-of-state college students who left their medical records behind, “sandwich generation” adults who are caring for their older parents and their kids, and business travelers and vacationers.
