Roseburg Forest Products Company didn’t decide just to stay the course.

The company chose to widen it.

The Oregon-based firm has given more of its total retirement outsourcing business to New York Life Retirement Plan Services.

In February, New York Life began administering Roseburg’s Carpenters Industrial Council Plan, a defined benefit plan totaling more than $225 million. The additional plan brings Roseburg’s plan assets with New York Life to more than $440 million, with 3,900 defined contribution participants and 9,085 defined benefit participants.

Hank Snow, vice president of human resources at Roseburg, said his company has been with New York Life for 11 years, and that experience led the firm to expand its relationship with New York Life “without hesitation.”

“New York Life is simply the right choice for our whole retirement package,” Snow said.
