For the second year in a row, State Farm Insurance was an official sponsor of Fiesta Atlanta.

One of among more than two dozen official corporate sponsors, State Farm served as the official insurance sponsor of Fiesta Atlanta ’08, an outdoor Cinco de Mayo festival held May 4 in Centennial Olympic Park that celebrated Latino culture, music, and food.

Ralph E. Herrera, president of Lanza Group, LLC, a local PR and marketing firm that specializes in the Hispanic market, said that State Farm’s presence last year at the inaugural Fiesta Atlanta helped to educate and inform many of the more than 30,000 attendees at the event.

Sponsoring Fiesta Atlanta gave State Farm and other corporate sponsors an ideal opportunity to reach out to the Latino community. Ashley Deadwyler-Jones, Zone Marketing Analyst at State Farm, said the insurer’s participation in the festival helped it exemplify what it means to be a good neighbor, adding, “We’re proud to be a returning sponsor of this fun-filled fiesta!”

Fiesta Atlanta ’08 events included a three-on-three soccer challenge, live performances by national and local artists, an artist’s market, and vendor booths offering free product samples and authentic Latino cuisine.
