Traditional cleaning services are expanding, and they have a new option for insurance coverage that is keeping up with their growth.

NIP Programs has introduced MaintenancePro®, a customizable insurance program for the facility cleaning and maintenance services industry. The program targets janitorial and light maintenance segments of the industry, including janitorial services, indoor and outdoor maintenance, window cleaning, and carpet and upholstery cleaners.

Both commercial and residential cleaning and maintenance businesses are covered through MaintenancePro.

“The cleaning and maintenance industry has also been evolving in recent years to provide more services,” said Dave Springer, president of NIP Programs, a division of NIP Group, Inc. “Companies that were primarily cleaning services are going to a ‘full service’ approach, offering outdoor maintenance, window cleaning, carpets and floors, and more. As these businesses become more complex in their offerings, they no longer fit traditional insurance solutions and premium pricing models for this class. The MaintenancePro program was created to provide these companies, and their brokers, with a wide and customizable range of options, including important coverages that other carriers don’t offer.”

Available coverage options through MaintenancePro include General Liability, Auto Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Crime, and Umbrella, with many special coverage extensions and low minimum premiums.
