The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud has announced the 2003 Insurance Fraud Hall of Shame. Those elected, include the nation’s top convicted insurance swindlers of the year, and are chosen for insurance cons that were exceptionally large, tragic, vicious or just plain stupid. All members of this first annual scheme team were convicted or had cases closed in 2002.
 

Survey Shows Allergy Treatment More Costly Due to Insurance Company Restrictions

According to results of a national Harris Interactive® survey announced by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), 86% of allergy sufferers believe that as a result of prescription-strength allergy medications being made available over-the-counter (OTC) over the past year, health insurance coverage changes have not been in the best interest of patients.

First Health Services Chosen to Administer TennCare Pharmacy Program

The Tennessee TennCare Program has chosen First Health Services to serve as the Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) for the TennCare pharmacy program, one of the nation’s largest Medicaid drug programs.
