While several extra years of leisure time has powerful appeal, the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance of the State of Wisconsin (OCI) is warning would-be retirees to make sure they have considered all the potential health care costs associated with early retirement.

A new national survey indicates that most of us are fairly knowledgeable about long-term care options. We’re even ready to step in to help an aging relative in need, and we’ve done some planning for our parents’ needs and our needs as we age. However, we have little understanding of who pays for these long-term care services.
