MetLife Signs On As First Cornerstone Partner with New Meadowlands Stadium

Sports fans in the New York metro area will be seeing a lot more of MetLife.

Already a prominent sports promoter, MetLife has agreed in principle to be the first major marketing partner of the new Meadowlands stadium in New Jersey, the future home turf of the New York Giants and New York Jets. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2010.

The regulators have given the green light to Farmers Insurance Group®.

All regulatory approvals have been given for Truck Insurance Exchange, one of the Farmers Exchanges, to acquire the rights to access renewals on Zurich North America Commercial’s Small Business Solutions (SBS) book of business.

New research from Nationwide shows that 57 percent of retirees are living on their Social Security checks and pension funds alone, leaving untouched much of their retirement nest egg. Furthermore, of those who said they live solely on Social Security and pensions, almost 25 percent said they were afraid to spend down their retirement investments.

Willis Group Holdings Limited, a global insurance broker, has announced that it will acquire all of the outstanding stock of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company, an insurance and risk management intermediary. The merger will double Willis’s North America revenues and strengthen its position in certain growth markets.
